​My Photography

​

I began amateur photography with my Nikon D3100 DSLR camera in 2009 at the age of 30. I use 2 lenses: a Nikkor AF-S 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6G ED DX VR, and a Nikkor AF-S 55-200mm 1:4-5.6G ED DX VR. In January 2015 I obtained a Nikon D3200 DSLR camera as well. Wildlife photography is pretty limiting with these two lenses, especially with inadequate zoom and no macro function. Nonetheless, it is what I have for now and I do my best.

Some of the photos are really for ID purposes and are not the greatest, but are important for my records.

 

Also included in this website, however, are a few digital and scanned photos from previous point-and-shoot digital and film cameras I have owned, as well as some cellphone pics due to not having a camera on hand but still wanting to capture the special moment ;-)

 

My other pride and joy is my Nikon Trailblazer 10x42 roof prism binoculars!

  • I am Michael Standin Wright​

  • Michael is a male name derived from the Hebrew: מִיכָאֵל / מיכאל‎ (Mīkhāʼēl), meaning "Who is like God?". It is derived from Archangel Michael, the leader of heaven's armies, the defeater of Satan.

  • I am God's precious son

  • I was born on 29 December 1979

  • I love the Father, Jesus, Holy Spirit and the Church

  • I love the wife of my youth - Natalie Anne Wright

  • I love my 2 children: my son - John Michael Wright (born in July 2008), and my daughter - Hannah Anne Wright (born in July 2012)

Share Father's Love

The name, Keystone Photography, is inspired by keystone species in nature. 
 
A keystone species is a species that has a disproportionately large effect on its environment relative to its abundance. Such species are described as playing a critical role in maintaining the structure of an ecological community, affecting many other organisms in an ecosystem and helping to determine the types and numbers of various other species in the community.
 
Keystone species excite and inspire me due to their tremendous value and significance. Examples include: elephants, lions, rhinos, tiger sharks, hornbills, bees and proteas.
